Doesn’t bother
Putting wax
Or any other crap
In his ears anymore

It’s not like
It’s the first time
He heard that song

He’s wrecked more
Than a boat or two
Completely
On that stony shore

Oh come and save me
You’re the only one
The night is dark
And I’m so alone

But certainly not
For this weathered
Ancient mariner
Who listens swerves
And cruises on
