Thy Seeds of Love

~ Linda L. Dowd ~

In warmth of womb
which dwells in mine inner being,
I shall forever carry the memory
of thy loving.

I be not barren,
for thou hast planted thy seeds of love
that continue to feed mine soul,
~ long since thy leaving.

Love is the unifying force which integrates
one’s soul with that of another.

Linda, sweet spirit, I think I am going to agree with Karilea on this...I'm wanting more.  Though....'tis perfect in its simplicity....I'm still wanting more.  This could be read two ways and the first way I read it was regarding the loss of a child; of course, the second way, is completely different and, of course, so romantic, and yet a little sad in its way.  You've evoked so many little stories inside my head, sweet soul sister.  KBHBLY......lily jo (and PS, yes, there is more than the 3rd eye perception in my poem....I need to catch you up a little...let me know when you can chat.)

Oh, yes, Linda, the seeds of love have indeed germinated and flowered beautifully within you and then they continue to re-seed and re-seed themselves.  Enjoyed!

Wow... this write brought tears to my eyes.  The depth of your words!

As I read, I went back in time, to when I had my children in my womb...

I be not barren,
for thou hast planted thy seeds of love
that continue to feed mine soul,
~ long since thy leaving.

I was very connected with my pregnancies..
As I am now extremely connected to my kids... even after he left...

Thank you for sharing such powerful expression...

Yo, jo! Hidee Ho! lol I'm in a silly billy mood!

I am fascinated by the comments that I have been receiving on this poem and by the variety of perceptions regarding what it may be all about. The poem practically wrote itself and took on a life of its own. At times, I think it is best to let the reader glean from a poem what they may, and not explain the motivation for it.

Regarding your own mysterious poem with several takes on it, as well, lol, yes, please do get in touch with me and we can "chat"!

MindBodySoul ~

With a name like yours, I already know we are kindred spirits.

This poem truly does have several levels and possible interpretations to it ~ and they are all correct. One of them is as you have written.

My story is similar to yours and I am forever thankful that my children were born of such a love. Love is never lost and its seeds can continue to blossom grow.

I also hold the memory of my husband's love, deep within my soul and will never forget the beauty of it. I keep only the good memories and let the negative ones drift out to sea.

Thank you for your lovely and very thoughtful reply!

May your Mind, Body, & Soul be filled with joyous Light!

EA
