'The kid in the room
that no one hears'

Silent screams
too many unseen tears
Just what is it
they don't comprehend?
One heart hurting
will it ever end?
Flinging word-stones
on a sanctimonious journey they embark
Finding the quiet target
they surely hit their mark
Silent screams
too many unseen tears
Will it ever end?
I doubt it~

~Sometimes inspire comes from a hurting place ... found in the tears of a friend~

A beautiful, sensitive and compassionate poem you wrote, dear Marge.

There is truly nothing that is more painful to endure than the tears of an innocent child.

Love,
margherita

Thanks all .. and sometimes the 'kid in the room' is, in truth, the grown up who is reduced to tears by thoughtless words, made to feel like a child ... with no defense but to quietly cry~

Our hearts are shared with both the little one ... and the one made to feel little~

Dear Marge~Sometimes the inner child can be hurt terribly, even when we're all grown up..
especially by sticks and stones of those who should know better.
I too understand.

Like I expressed in the poem titled "You Would Not Be Aware "

I have shed many of those unseen tears over the years

Hi Marge,
Greatly enjoyed this, and as a wise man once said, I love children but could never eat a whole one

Marge~
     Beautiful!
Beautifully penned sadness that creeps into my soul and makes me think - remember - thoughts from so long ago...

You get me every time!

THIS...is, most assuredly, an 'IMPORTANT' write!

A good question, Marge.  I don't know the answer; wish I did.  It's a hard world for kids these days.  Appreciate the thoughtfulness you put into this.   ...jo
