Solemn tree by the lake,
Won’t you come and play?
Take a dip and cool with ease,
Effortlessly today.

The sun sneaks behind you
Soon, casting line to wave,
Casting you in softness,
Turned in reverse display.

Slick and glazed, your protégé,
Your twin and 'most admired'
Will float in length across the lake,
Leg kicked up, not tired.

An emerging fish will draw a ring.
A hula-hoop, it’ll be;
The encircling ripples, then,
will encompass dancing tree.

The day will end too soon,
So, won’t you play with me?
Dive right in, the temp's just right
for hula hoop and tree.

Dear Misc, you succeeded to put two favorites of mine in the title and how you combined them is simply MAGICAL!

So absolutely captivating and in a way poignant. Who could resist to such an invitation to come out to play?

I think you were in a blessed moment of inspiration to write this. I will keep it, for I love it!

Love and ... hula hoop hugs.

Thank you, Everyone!  I'm so glad this was refreshing to you.  Not so much to me because I have a science project due soon on "reflection", and I just can't seem to get into doing it!  (Too much other stuff on my mind, I suppose!)  So... thought I'd try to imagine it and write about it first!  Thanks for your feedback.  Maybe it'll spur me on to get busy with my project, eh?

Again, thanks,

Thanks, Lady.  Well, at least I've gathered the materials; that's a start...   Thanks for the boost.
