Manapua Mondays

Went on the day shift
for ninety days
and now that I'm going back
to the night shift on Monday
my boss called and told me
to bring in some manapua
for the boys.
I suggested malasada's
but he insisted
manapua.
He's the boss.
Manapua Monday
it will be.

manapua-pork baked
inside a ball of bread.

malasada-a soft gooey
pastry...sugar coated
and definately delicious.

good poem and nice food. Did I mention food?
I would rather have good food than read poems.
no matter how beautifully you write about potato you can't make freedom fly out of it.

enjoyed  reading the food
