Luck of the Draw

At times when life seems full of shìt
and you are growing tired of it,
when joy's been torn out from your soul
and left you feeling far from whole,
it's then that you, and you alone,
can find another pathway home.

Forget the hand that you've been dealt
and all life's blows below the belt,
take all the misery and pain
and change it into lifelong gain.

Just like a masochist would do,
laugh at the ones who would hurt you,
for they're not worthy of your kind,
don't ever let them bend your mind.

If only bad things pave your way,
don't let just luck control your day,
the new pathway that you’ll then take
should bring forth laughter from heartache,
for this is how life's battle's won,
so through life's pains, still have some fun!

Ivor G Davies

The moment created this second, is a  moment that's going to last.
It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past.

I take the time each and every day
To savor love and make room for play
To make a smile and hug a friend
I savor the blue sky that has no end

I savor the hand that has been dealt to me
The cards may hold a meaning for me to read
A heart or a club or a diamond or spade
All are winners in the card games I play

Life is a picnic or maybe a house of cards
Each day might be a loving reward
Maybe our fate is in the stars shining over our land
I say play the game fairly for it's all in your hands

i have written poems similair to this... but gosh how do you rhyme whole sentences.. I am a professional poet - but I haven't gotten the knack for long winded lines that rhyme.

kudo's to you
