Tormentors

I suppose that
now I know
how a person
in my past felt,
when I kept disappointing
her over and over again.
Not appreciating
all the agony
I was causing her
as I kept living
as usual
in my own
frustrating
little world.
The wanting.
The not wanting.
The giving.
The taking.
The lack of happiness.
The excess of suffering
and misery that I
rained upon her.
I need a cleansing.
A shower of foregiveness.
Grace, mercy
and compassion.
Please God.
Not the tormentors.

as if you deserve it
would you like
to be shot?

Thank you Drauntz, Huan Yi, seconhanddreampoet, carter and miscellanea
for the nice comments.
Yes the tormentors did come, indeed, and I deserved my consequences...
My ex-wife was happy to participate in the tormenting, commenting that she had killed me off, and I no longer existed...such is the fate of a husband that fails to love his wife...James
