Cardinal Dreams Red

Awash in passion’s crimson blush
Innate discretions pallor hush
Unto his own the prince descends
A striking chord to spring amends

So proudly there attending day
In regal plume and red array
Conviction strong his song attends
A striking chord to spring amends

Of lush and green in time unfurled
A higher view about the world
Called unto leaf and treetop spends
A striking chord to spring amends

Beautiful!  What better way to trumpet the returning of spring?

Love this one.

Thanks for sharing!

your creations are utterly magical...beauty that is deeply intimate, close, and promising...you bring the reader to a place that allows knowledge of self exploration, and the need for quality time with nature...

TD, take a bough, I mean, "bow"!

You have majestically captured the essence of this magnificent harbinger of spring.

Exquisite!

Happy spring hugs,
EA

Well if there is a “cookie monster”
Then you are the divine word monster.
You poetry is indeed art.  Great write.
