I get dog tired of the tattered curtains
Hiding smug smiles.
I hear their whispers through the
Screaming wind.
The howling is a fresh reprieve from the
Fake Betrayals.
Put the smudge of that big nose inside
Your own pane. . . Pain.
Look around your callused feet first
Leave mine to the toil and trouble that
Belongs to me.

Raise your eyebrow at a poor soul who has
A clean clunker in the driveway and
Upside down daisies in his weeds.
He is sure to have something for gossip.
My middle is not your top.
You will find no step latter on my back
Only reflections from your jealousy.

I get dog tired of the stained glass portals
Hiding lonely to do housewives regrets.
Raining in a coffee cup of
Bourbon.
Wrapped three thick in gold and green.
Oh so vulnerable to the slabs end.
Watching me stroll by and
Wanting it both ways.
Selfish and sad.

I get dog tired.
