In Reach of Bamboo (In A Romantic Place)

In a corner of my favorite place
I have arranged bamboo within a wicker vase.

Why does my sweetheart know more
of my heart then I?

Dare anyone but a romantic
care to tell me the reasons why?

While she was with me,
and she will be with me again,
I enjoyed the softness of her sweet kiss.

She had a wonderful way of enticing me.
A sensual wetting of her lips.

One day, not totally to my surprise,
I awoke and she was gone from my romantic place.

Fear not, those that care, I know that my
sweetheart will return to my grace.

Bamboo has been admired for its beauty,
know for its strength; to me bamboo is
a symbol of her love, living inside my heart,
in a corner of my home, in a special place.

It has been determined by some, that my
writing leans towards the romantic.
My hearts continually tells me
that it is so.
