It’s been years
Since I’ve been back
Yet here you are
At the mall

It seemed then
That this part of the world
Was just too small for you
What with a body
Venus would envy
Though even then
Your hair seemed dyed

Is the open coat
To show off your breasts
Accentuate
Other points of interest
As you rigidly march
Past the various stores

Now with a little anger
In that vaunted look
The belle still without song
In all her confidence

That she can always leave
And go off to a much better place . . .
When she wants to
