How Many

How many frogs to make a prince
The bog is full of songs convince
They stay the moon and not the sun
And I am sore to pick the one

I listen to the words naïve
But do not trust the songs conceive
They seem to echo full of wile
Full of style and full of guile

I vacillate in awkward state
My drive is that I must relate
Or do I hang upon the tree
Or is there really one for me?

Which croak will stoke my fire red?
Which croak will lure me into bed?
Which knight will win me to his side?
Which knight will stay a life’s abide?

I am a princess in needs a prince
And I’ve been waiting ever since

Oh, my, T-Man!!! As I was reading your poem, I began to wonder if I had been having the wrong impression of you as being a "man's man"! lol

A delightful read!

Don't kiss any frogs, dear prince!

What a beautiful and funny one,

"How many frogs to make a prince"?
only  one sir, has to get the heavenly kiss.

"Which croak will stoke my fire red?
Which croak will lure me into bed?
Which knight will win me to his side?
Which knight will stay a life’s abide?"

this should be asked and taught through high school. They are the most important questions in life so one has to ask oneself all the time and in  spirit too.

enjoyed the serious topic but light hearted words

have a wonderful weekend, Sir Tabin.

Sunshine,
To make the right choice you must look at it both ways.

Oh, my friend... I love love love this! *S* It's a whimsical delight... but packs a wallop of truth for so many of us! *S*

Of course... I'm no princess, so I guess I didn't deserve a prince... but deserve and desire aren't always a match. *S*

This one's going into my library... for I can keep poems even if men do escape! *bratty grin*
