Why are we saying these words
because they just fall like rain
and dry away
with no reminder of them
ever being present.

Maybe it's become a habit
to which we have become accustomed,
an addiction
on which we depend
because once it's taken away
there is nothing left

We use it as our safety net
to cushion the blows
to really hide whats beneath the surface
to which we cannot admit.

It pains us to look it in the face
To see the ugliness that is within
to view the alternative of what will be
The choices that we have to make
when we decide
that those 3 words
will never be enough

I have to say... that this write HIT ME DEAD IN THE HEART!!!  It is so very true. 3 Words that are said, sometimes just because we need to hear it or because it became a way of living... an addition!  Yet those words are no longer enough... because we come to realize... that they were just words that the wind blew away!

Thanks for sharing... really enjoyed reading it.
