And again and again one dies,
And again and again one sleeps in the mother’s womb…

48 days ago great grandfather freed his last breath
into Chinese air
today a small boy fish
slithered
swam from his mother
mouth open in American air
gasping
reaching
for that last Chinese breath
inhaling hard

hands
wrinkled by age
clutched at glorious wisdom

red and gold dragons gathered
wings beating
whispered blessings
kissed an old smooth cheek

what is the turn around
on this time line

the boy fixed me with black filmed eyes
communion
with his ancestor

pink mouth blew love bubbles
from great grandfather

delivered here
48 days later

by this small boy fish

Baby Boy Fan does not yet have a name and is being called Bao Bao... Chinese for baby.
