standing on a shadow's lace

tonight on this
special night
we share
while the wind
is in silent stir
the moon will
whisper your name
rejoicing in celebration
true song of life
music will be heard
above the darkness
and jealous stars
are an audience
in circles
of velvet black
a lullaby for one
as you tenderly slumber
and the earth will
curl just for you

my gift to you
