Why

Thirty-two innocents, for them we cry.
Why did these children have to die?
A college education for that they vie.
To learn in peace amongst safety’s lie.

Crazy, psycho, psychotic guy.
There is no definition, so why try.
Is it God’s will from Heaven high?
Or Satan’s wish for them to die?

Asking questions of school and alumni.
Amidst torrents of sadness, and memories of day gone by.
A search for motive the police do try.
My only question is just plain
WHY?

So much we don't know...
so much to learn.  The impact
hasn't even hit home yet...

and when it does, I fear for many.

between whys we cry
between crys we ask why
only wish they went to  heaven
so Angel could wipe their tearing eyes.

same as you, I ask why?

I ask myself the same question and doubt that it will be answered to my understanding.  My deepest condolences to those who have lost loved ones.

Why because there is evil in this world out to destroy anything good, and it will use any tool to do it, or any person weak enough to allow them to be used.
God hates this, all of this, his heart is hurting as well, for he loves all of us, all of those who are going through this.

The only place that is scared and no harm, sickness, or death, is heaven.

Glad to see you posting your feelings about it, it is good for the soul.

Sunshine,
For many its true it hasn't hit home yet. In my case it is hitting home all too well, I have a son going to college this fall. Thanks for reading!

Drauntz,
So many questions I would like answered but, there is no answer that can explain why.
Thanks!

Miscellanea,
So true no answer will come close. My heart and sympathy go out to all the families whose lives are forever changed by this atrocity.
Thanks!

Romantic Heart,
True it is good for the soul to air out your feelings. It is our pain, sadness, happiness, and triumphs over adversity that let us know we are alive right?
Thanks for reading!

Enchantress,
I wish I knew, the world would be an amazing place indeed if everyone cherished the gift of life.
Thanks!!

Dakota, we are grieving with you up here in Canada, and I fear that when the events that happened leading up to this horrific historical happening are revealed, we will grieve even more.  I pity the folks down there having to investigate this tragedy, as this will be embedded in their minds forever.  God bless them every one, and their families.

p.s. If my son had been a girl, which he is not, Dakota was to be the name for my daughter!

Thoughtful post for the tragedy~

As the mother of three in the teaching profession and the grandmother of two in institutes of learning ... I pray each day for their safety ... for guidance to learn what to do and for the hand of the Lord-of-my-knowing to keep them all safe~

My heart goes out to those who have lost a beloved child in this horrible situation~
May comfort somehow come from some divine intervention~

No answers can ever fully explain this tragedy and its ultimate consequences.  I sincerely hope that there are no hateful repercussions, and that all educational facilities take student depression and anger seriously, that they take action more quickly whenever there is any anti-social behaviors exhibited. It is hard to believe two hours went by after the first two murders before this student was somehow able to enter 4 classrooms (undetected) with such an arsenal, and that students and faculty were apparently unaware of what had already transpired in a dorm. Furthermore, I believe this undelines the serious need for greater handgun control in this country, where many seem hell-bent on accepting violence as a resolution to all of life's inequities.
I too have a 19 year old, and am heartbroken and devastated, in mourning for these murdered youth and their families.

Words seem so inadequate to express the sadness, fear, and sympathy I feel for the families and the world.

Thank you all for your compassionate words. If the world were more like Passions we would all be happier.

Senselessness.... that is what it was.  he tried to justify himself as being a martyr... for what?  Pure evil?  It's truly sad and still...  there are people who are numb to this situation. I don't get it.
