This has to be done
though it doesn't feel right,
I feel uneasy, scared and lost.
I need you
but so does someone else
and I can't compete
as I have nothing to give
that is not already there.
I can't wait in the shadows any longer
or be seen as second best
Can't deal with this constant feeling
of clinging onto something
that is soon to disappear.
I know you won't understand
and that you'll beg me to stay
but i'm leaving
and it's happening today.

There is a lot of sad thought here ... but though we think the first step is the hardest to take ... sometimes it is the easiest once we set our feet on the path~

This is a very thought prevoking piece, heartfelt indeed. Keep your chin up, the hard times will soon pass, and the heartache won't last forever. There is someone out there that thinks you are the World's Greatest, and you don't even have to compete for that because you already have won that. Walking away is liberating and it is often for the best.
