Raining Thoughts

I lay in pain wondering my purpose
in a world filled with turmoil, the kind
that eats away at the insides
and leaves one feeling hungry
for something to replace
the gnawing of the reigning thoughts.

This is a very deep, personal poem that shows much feeling. I really enjoyed this.

Powerfully expressed melancholy.
Not always we have full clarity about our purpose, but be sure Up There Someone knows.

I feel your spirit through your words and this sharing is a wonderful way of connection. You might just have said words that help others to feel less alone in their own melancholy. So you see everything has its meaning. Life is a gift, even in the dark hours.

I still don't know what I want to be when I finally grow up!

I have had moments like you have so defly described, but then I do something about it. I go eat some of my homemade brownies!

You are such a wonderfully emotive writer.

Perhaps one of your purposes in life is to share your feelings so that others may not feel so alone in their thinking. There is comfort in company.

I can definitely relate to your poem, as I am at that stage in my life where everything seems uncertain.
