Memory

Has anyone seen my memory?
I can’t think where it’s gone.
I know I had it with me,
now where did I come from?

What was it that I’ve lost now?
I think that I’ve forgot.
It couldn’t be important,
I lose it quite a lot.

Oh, now I can remember,
I thought that I’d forgot.
It’s my memory that is lacking,
it won’t retain a lot.

It used to be quite healthy
when I was in my prime.
I never thought that it may leave
in some near distant time.

Now I make notes to help me
so that I remember all.
It’s just where I have put these notes
that I cannot recall.

So if you find my memory
my problem you’ll redress.
Please send it to my residence,
now ‘what was my address?’

Okay, I'm brand new to this site and these forums, but that's two in a row from you I liked very much. Your works reminds me of my own.

Hey Ivor

You wrote poem this for Donald here.

Just Uncovered my Honda Scooter from the dog kennel where Don had it nicely under wraps (to keep it in good condition)

Ha! with a little reminder that bikes in storage dont get "Road Burn" and after a few denials he admitted to dropping it on a side road back in February.

Of course after Ray it seems like nothing though I half wished I could have swapped riders ???

Don forgot (as in Thailand) that neither he or his pillion son were insured. I had offered to add them on my insurance which they refused.... Must thrive on "risk"

Whats that..... this is not memory loss it's more like dementia????

Oh well never too old to live and learn...

Very witty and skillfully written!  Enjoyed a bunch!   (You had lost your memory and I had lost my humor!  Thanks for the reminder and the morning perk!

You too?!?! Perhaps our memories have skipped de doo down Memory Lane!

I'm a note-maker as well ~ but as you so humoursly queried, of what use are they when you cannot even find them! lol

You're a pet, Evan... Ooops! Kevin? Ivan? ~ Oh well, you know who you are! ~ at least on a good day, I'm sure!

Love your wit and charm!

Yo Ivor,

I know where you're at.

You made me drop my stoogie cigar on my lap.  I was able to remember where I dropped it before it burnt a hole in my pants.

It's one of my good days.
