Spring on the river...
the island nest of young swans
floating in flowers.

The first sign of spring~
robin eyes her new red blouse
in this rain puddle.

Spring on the river
the tips of water grasses
dripping with diamonds.

Spring whispers secret
rain to the listening trees
till they shout loud green.

Enchantresss, your words ring so true. Two days of heavy rain has done wonders to bring out the green; White Iris; Blue Pumbago; Tall Aloe; Mexican Petunia and others. Yes Spring is on the way.  martyjo

Dear Nancy, this is so PERFECT in its poetical beauty and in the visions it evokes.

I will keep it, because every single word is a jewel.

Love and hugs.

"the tips of water grasses
dripping with diamonds."

which I'll call my lover to get them to make a pair of earings.

if it is dripping wine that brewed over the winter, I may just get drunk.

love this sooooo much!!!
thank you!

Wow! This is fantastic, Nancy. But then, you always do well no matter what you write.

I really needed to wake up to this exquisite bracelet of natural gems, this morning.  (Experiencing the first bite of the approaching South African winter, although our winters, particularly in Durban, are infinitely milder than many parts of the USA.)

I am going to keep this and read it many times.

Thank you so much for letting me know about it.  I will re-imbibe it many times during my busy (and stressful) day today.

Hugs

a cycle of life eternal
the power of simplicity
and love an image -- no
a reality of purity of
spirit and birth new
season new members of
Mother Nature's love of
life at her best...

thank you for such a
beautiful poem the power
of your words reach way
beyond the pages

Enchantress:
I needed something lovely for my eyes to touch,
and I knew if I came to this page I'd find your thoughts here.
I especially love:
Spring whispers secret
rain to the listening trees
till they shout loud green.

Thank you.  K

Oh my goodness....thank you all again so much!

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.
