Peacock, oh, peacock
How magnificent you are
Passing me with dazzling shine
Like a merrily sauntering star
Will you lent me a feather
In such a fine weather?
Not for memorizing you, dear
But for beautifying my tether
To you.

watching, feeling, reaching out, touching, those things outside one's self and what is in it for you, but to appreciate and know, to recognize, to somehow say "thank you" to those simple things that make life worth the living.

connections...always the connections

One of our poets has a small cadre of peacocks....who adopted
her and her home.

I must share this poem with her,
and if we are very lucky, she might share
some of her photos with you!

Hey there....I'm that person that Sunshine was talking about...it's a long story but my husband and I started the colony that I think will grow bigger this spring.  They have special meaning to us...but even without that, they are so beautiful, aren't they?  I'd be happy to share them with you.

and, of course I loved the poem!

Your poem is as pretty as a peacock!

They do make a grand display with those magnificent tail feathers!

I love the way the words are spread out like tail feathers in the glorious if very structured poem.

I visited a peacock farm once and you must beware of where you walk. LOL
