a gentle light of star

i hope i sing for you a
song to hear and hold
most dear

we can share life's most
caring if only try take
home the peace no fear

touched gently by stars
above give light a chance
to shine not blind

hold holy rights for all
mankind the chance for
peace to find

while all the ways and
means debate who's
always right or wrong

a gentle light of star
first night gives pause
the violent throngs

let light be held by you
behold the warmth of
chance supreme

give peace a path to
treasured ruins

and build new life again...
