         Love’s Embrace

I awoke....
here....
remembering....

morning songs of Spring
in the bloom of children’s voices
from another life,
and wondrous cloud-fantasies
ever spinning by
through a dazzling Summer sky,
until the first-frost roses
   final blush
with Autumn’s fading smile.

remembering....
I awoke....
here....

where hope once lived
in my saddened soul
that her stone-cold heart
could be warmed by words
of truth in Love’s embrace;
there is nothing now
but the silent settling
of regrets, like Winter-dust
on the tapestry of Time
and moonlight on a broken dream!

This write pulls me in and paints the picture, then turning, pulls me in again.
Fine, fine choreography and sequence!
I especially like how you made that turn from

"I awoke....
here....
remembering...."

to

"remembering....
I awoke....
here...."

Everything in-between and after was, as usual, so well done, Dreampoet!

Bruce, this is so vivid, for lack of a better word....the emotion here is tangible.
I like this very much!

Sad regret fills these words...painting a picture of lost hope....Keep dreaming for I am one who can say dreams can become the greatest reality....weave dear poet and let the dreams you weave flow across the landscape of time....Magnificent writing...*Big Hugs*

~ I could not help but let out my own sad sigh on remembering...

Your quill spills poignantly poetic ink.

~ May you be making wonderful new memories for your tomorrows!

How sad this is and how poignantly you draw me into your weave. Excellent words.

Bruce~
Back in here for another read ... and to take a moment to say that you write with heart and purpose ... I would encourage you to continue ... you would be missed were you not to share even more~

Now ... no final curtain .... but how's about another curtain call ?
