I know its hard
and that the world seems black,
I know you're confused,
and you dont know which way to turn.

You lash out
as you see no other way,
to express your pain.
You cant see why this has happened to you,
and why shes not coming back.

You need her now, to soothe you
To hold your hand.
You cant voice it,
Nothing can convey all this emotion and anger.

Words are not enough,
all you can do is express your revenge on the world,
by closing down,
and hitting out.

Theres no smile on your face anymore,
just haunted eyes.
You've become older then your years,
but still I see a little girl,
whos struggling to find her way,
who doesnt speak a word of her pain,
yet I know its destroying her inside.

If I could, I would take it all away,
I would carry the burden and let you be the child that you used to be,
To give you back those days of innocence,
for you to be happy and carefree,
to not be tainted with darkness and fear.

I wish I could explain,
that I could bring her back for you,
but this is one thing that I cant make right.

Just know that shes with you,
in everything that you do,
and that her presence will guide you,
in the darkness of the night.

Just look up at that star,
and feel a sense of calm.
You'll see that shes near you,
always holding you in her mind.

The years will pass on,
but that star will remain,
a symbol of the mothers love that you once knew,
always remaining bright
never fading away..

I am sure that every single Mother alive has had some of these thoughts at one time or another in raising our children.  I am a Grandmother now and get to worry not only about my son but also his children, so trust me it gets even better.   I too sometimes wish I could take it all away but this is their journey.

This is an excellent write.  It was depressing but it's a fact of life.  We all must move on and grow up and it's sad when life makes us loose our innocence.  May God help you find your way and richly bless you with some praise.

Hugs Kimberly
