Pacing Footsteps

Pacing footsteps out my door
I would they pace upon my floor
Hours draining through times whole
There’s little time for my goal

What use the pace of timeless cast?
To hang from ropes those out the past
To stay the heart outside the floor
To not come in and use my door

The dark that seems to block its road
Are phantoms of another mode?
One more footstep on the path
Will wet my mind a showers bath

Echoes from the wings that fly
Set the face upon the dye
And colors of a field of hue
Rain upon my mind in dew

It’s waiting for a simple dare
To wake me from a fruitless stare

Your mind in dew ... how beautifully expressed. Those footsteps seem friendly, as you wish them inside your door.

May you never feel lonely, dear Seymour, nor "stare fruitlessly" ... you are love and your eyes speak of love.

It's an intriguing piece.

Hear the knock on your door, it's my thought of love for you.

Hugs.

Then you better darn well hurry up!

This was so beautifully done, and rhymed Sy.  Here's something for you to do today during Passover.

"One more footstep on the path

VS
"colors of a field of hue
Rain upon my mind in dew"
Your mind will get washed in either way.
I love those comparing.

enjoyed very much as always.
happy Easter, sir.
