How many eggs did you get
I got three
School taught us about Jesus
But that doesn’t matter to me

All my friends care about
Is how many I got
Like that’s all there is to easter
Maybe they forgot

They asked were my eggs big
Was the chocolate iced
I think they forgot to ask me
Am I thankful to Jesus Christ?

This poem is simply beautiful...it is so sad that we forget what Easter is really all about....I too am thankful for the sacrifice Jesus made for all of us...*Big Hugs*

Very lovely write.  Very reflective of today's feelings, too.  Thanks for sharing!

Very insightful write, and yes there is sure more to today than chocolate on your fingers.  Very well done.

Luvvbuzz,

This is a cute little number.  However, please capitalize Easter, it's an important day to us Catholics and other Christians.
