      New Faith in Love

‘Mid scintillating starlight’s
   galactic dance
to cosmic serenades,
the night invades
(in shadow-riddle dreams)
our plans and schemes
for life beyond all pain;
and the broken heart repeats
   its sad refrain
until the night retreats
in rippling moonbeams
caught by the dawn’s surprise,
when faith in Love revives
in dazzling warmth...
of the morning star!
