Oh, twiddle and twaddle,
no man has the depth
to know of essential love;
how it sits in the gut
a-waiting an out
into the light of day.

A flower perhaps
or a babe in the womb
in trial and test of growth
moving each day the boundaries
considered to be
inflexible.

‘tis a twiddle and twaddle
in defeat and destruction
of cause before an effect
can grow into adulthood ~
but speak of a flower dead before life
and tut-tut it away to the garbage bin,
a speedy dispatch and burial
of foreshortened beautification.

Grow old, grow older, old is okay
but an elderly twiddle and twaddle
forces a plummet and drop
into … into … into … a …
oh, just a kind of something or other
that never looks nice, you see?

what price life?

you covered it with a flip of the hand.

hardly.

this is one of the toughest, most intense pieces on the human condition i have read in many many reads.

i hope to read more of your work.  this is dynamic and so very to the point.

Bravo!

Outlawthunder (and I do like that) - thank you so much for your gracious comment.  Should I ever put together another book I'd like to entitle it "The Human Condition" if you don't mind because it's what I mostly write about.  Thanks again - glad you enjoyed.

Though I don't know what "Twiddle and twaddle" means, I recognize the value of this piece. Some deeply touching lines.

Brave and honest analysis!

Love,
Margherita

PS I thought to give it a try on a German/English dictionary and found both words, OK yes I understand how they fit!

Hi, Honey!

"Grow old, grow older, old is okay"

~ and I'll try to keep that thought!

Intriguing read as always!

Loves 'n hugs,
Linda
