Why have I begun this journey
of life with a daily dose of wine?
Fell off the wagon, shame.
Shake your head, that's just fine.

And I don't know how to write it
where young eyes won't be upset,
but sober, I never get this
feeling that I get
when I'm half gone to three sheets
floating in the wind,
it's when you can touch me best,
and peek me time and time again.

Maybe when I'm sober, I'm older
and I need nothing then,
just sad without you there
just to be a friend.

I can't love you that way
without the bottles that I drink,
my mind turns totally off to
what you want for me to think.

Dirty thoughts come with fine wine,
and actions after much,
I'm older now and it's what I need
to endure your painful touch.
