More

To cross the river of indifference

I will swim right into awareness

where all the whirling stops

and the heart wins over the mind.

Where perceptions flow free

like crystal clear waterfalls,

bringing the gift of lucidity

revealing the perfect reality.

There is more to life than
what meets the eye …

To touch the very essence

in which all life is rooted

I’ll call upon the great silence

and upon the vast void.

I’ll cut all the boundaries

which define my illusions.

I will ban from my soul

all the melancholy accumulated

in endless nights of longing.

There is more to life than
what meets the eye …

I know for I have caught a glimpse

of those portals to eternity

while I explored ethereal routes

on iridescent wings of butterfly.

Like ripe red apples glowing on a tree

the stars twinkle on the firmament

inviting me to decode their mystery.

I transcend the known itineraries

and in audacious determination

I move into Life, I move into You.

Margherita

Dear Margherita

Are you aware of how much I admire you?  Your frequent touching replies, and your not often enough poems!  Thank you for both!

Margherita, the painting is perfectly matched with your wonderfully phrased poem.  Many times through your work I've seen that we have some common thoughts -- this poem is one I will save to treasure again and again.  *hugs*....jo

Margherita - Your poem has given me some clarity and especially this:

"I transcend the known itineraries
and in audacious determination
I move into Life, I move into You."

I've been there, done that, but didn't know the "how".  Thank you!

Wow Margherita, this is exquisitely beautiful!
Very nicely done!

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

I want "More" and more of your writing! It fluffs up my aura and feeds my soul!

I am not only saving this glorious poem of "lucidity", love and Light in my Library, I am also tucking it into a special folder on my computer!

Your spirit and talent are glowing!

I can but concur with the magnificently appropriate comments
already posted (by so many fine ‘P.I.P.’ poets) pursuant to
this ‘write’ !

I dearly, grandly LOVE imagery such as:

         “the river of indifference”

and:    “To touch the very essence

in which all life is rooted

I’ll call upon the great silence

          and upon the vast void.

          I’ll cut all the boundaries

          which define my illusions. “

If I can but once write like this.....
I might somehow magically transmogrify into a real ‘poet’ to
dance forever along that immortal plane where this poem lives!

GRAND applause!!

so beautiful!  Your wording and phrasing is amazing.  It holds such profound truths and a deep sensuality too. I loved this.

(smiles) And skipping through and between the crystal clear waterfalls and gazing at all the kaleidoscopic prisms they cast off into the valley is exactly where I love being too, yay, you always offer so much more gorgeous imagery and jovial wisdom here, yay, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Margherita, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
