In a state of disrepair...

The worlds I fear wash away the day
Sleeping through an unmade life
To dream away some mundane fate
With nothing left to look forward to

A constant disappointment
In that simple fact
Nothing numbs numbness
Never found a mask
At the bottom of another glass

Just an overdose of anaesthetic
In this empty world
Simple sadness whispers
The oldest unfair name
That utterance of unknown pain;

Hope
Won't hide the absence of decay
Becomes more depressing than despair

I wish I knew what else to say, all I can manage is;
Sometimes things are better when left unsaid
I wish I'd realized the things that words can't say
Until you paint them grey

"Everything is vague to a degree you do not realize till you have tried to make it precise."

Nothing wrong with your writing,in fact you write good stuff, but sad to know you are "wallowing in self pity", that gets one nowhere. sincerely. Martyjo
