if i were zoomin' to where you're roomin'

would i find you groomin' for a boomin' good time

after reading my neighborhood of rhymes?

or would you be rightly assumin' that i wrote them

to untie your shoe laces

     so we could kick back a little

and enjoy some tender vittles

         while we whittle away

at why it's so important for me to live in your good graces

even though you visit romantic places

         with another lucky guy

shouldn't i cry to other pretty faces

never mind the fact that your "first name basis"

      takes me to inner spaces

that i didn't find before i met you

and i haven't found since i regret you

             walking a way

that won't let me say

what really happened that May?

           it just really hurts

that my flirts

     gave me the just "desserts"

                 i deserve
