.

A gate on a hill
By the lake near the tracks
Off Old Ridge Road

A water tower
With the town’s name painted on
The hot dog cart old war monument
A concrete bridge

Angels
Castles made of clouds
Perhaps just how it is

A passing train’s
Extended wail
Slowly flying in watchful gyres
Two hawks above the trees

.
