The Buzzword is War, but those that I saw They gave me one hell of a fright! With those in control the young and the old Who cares which damn side is right? Who’s making the rules, are they all fools? I must follow orders passed on! Life’s raging by while some of us die The reasons it started all gone Hell will not mend, as friend loses friend It's my own life that now I must save! God please let it end" There’s injured to tend While some will find peace in their grave This veteran of war, won’t say what he saw His combatant mind has gone blank! He was just a tool, far from the fools At least he has Comrades to thank Eric Davies |

Great write Eric. Someone once said...Hopefully a day will come, when a child asks his mother, "What was war?" Thank you for serving. |

I enjoyed this one. In any war, the people most against it are the ones who are fighting it. But you fight for your buddies, not for the bigwigs, wherever and whoever they may be. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |
