I Want

I want to feel the warmth of your skin
As you hold me close,
I want to feel the strength you hold deep within
As your arms about me enclose.

I want to see the fire in your eyes
As you gaze into my soul,
I want to see the depth of your love and pride
Tempered into gentle, sweet repose.

I want to smell your scent, so fragrant and soft,
Like a garden in luscious bloom,
The mingling of flower blooms and dew borne aloft
Brightening even the deepest gloom.

I want to taste the sweetness of your kiss
As you share your heart with me,
The soft, warm caress of your gentle lips
Will set my tired soul free.

I want to hear your heartbeat, so strong and true,
And the gentle whisper of your breath;
Sounds that have their own color and hue,
They will lighten even the darkest of depths.

All these things I want, I crave,
I need to feel you near;
Of all my wants the greatest is
I wish that you were here.

~you reached inside, you touched my heart,
and I am all the better for it~

Lovely, Terry.  Maybe live as if she IS near and suddenly she'll appear - hmm? but maybe not with the same face or name - there are many parts to a whole.

This is....so very very beautiful!
Very much enjoyed the read.

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

Excellent read Terry.  I especially liked the last verse.
