I wrote this poem just after 9/11. Hate and Anger and Fear The hate and anger and fear, It brings to my eye, A heart-shaped tear, The hate and anger and fear. The crying hearts for those we lost, The angry cries to those who took them, The broken pride in those who paid the cost, The grieving hearts of those who loved and lost. We shall remember that day, September 11, 2001 as a day of great cost, The fear that we maybe wiped away, And yet, somehow, we came together, some way. The hate and anger and fear, Brings to my eye, A heart-shaped tear, The hate and anger and fear. Rachael |
