Not you but a part of the ether unseen
instills the sense of love’s harmony
because evil lurks there with a wand, a staff,
and a hat that covers his eyes.

Time brings to all undeniable truth
and allows for complete absolution
when “sorry” is whispered meaningfully
in the shadow lands of a dream ~
but I walk now to the floodgates of grief
with limited strength to stem the flow.

Simply the mourning of wrongful belief
and knowing the foolish have spoken
enough to slay an innocent heart
and send up pain to the spirit lands.

A new day has dawned and still I mourn
the willingness now to let love lie
nestled so in complete aloneness
somewhere in the blue, blue, sky ~
but in the drafting and planning anew
I still see a most beautiful “you”!

Thank you, Dixie.  I wonder, is there something gorgeous in grief that I'm unable to see or know now?

"Time brings to all undeniable truth

Sure hope so, Helen.  This is such a beautiful poem but I feel your sadness so deeply.  Sending some hugs your way.........jo

Dear Helen

Is not grief proof of love?

Thanks, Jo.  "Sad" is not so bad - I could be dead.

Martie - You're probably right but I wonder who benefits from that kind of proof.  Thanks for the read.

Helen, grief is a tough subject, but yes, being through it plenty, I do see beauty there and I see it in you my friend. Just know you are not alone.

Thank you, Dixie, that's so kind.  I do know I'm not alone - him or it has proved it to me but the motivation ... hmm? probably "evil" when it results in unleashed emotion.
