Splendid

I’d like to wake up early on a snowy morning
wrapped up in a black and white dream to color
maybe we could have slept not even noticing
that icicles were inching their way to ground
or a silk spring with a free smooth landing
a white cotton snuggle never had it so good
the miracle of sunrise silently crawling on the sill
morning would be a labor of love waking up
and everyday ordinary weather turns to splendid

“all romantics meet the same fate”…Joni Mitchell

how beautiful

I'd love to wake up early on a snowy morning too but I don't think that's gonna happen here
