There you are again.
Smiling, reminding me
That you still exist.
There you are again
Fading in and out of you.
I saw a glimpse of the you I knew of you to be.
Moon rings of yesterday are dancing through my dreams.

I slept fitfully the other night.
I saw you fighting your demons.
I fought the urge to call and make sure all was alright.
Only you can fight your dragons…
Where I was then, I know I should not be.
Moon rings of yesterday are dancing through my dreams.

I still remember frolicking on the moon’s halo with you that night
The years we shared together, started playing on private screen.
You said it would not be a problem, seeing me again
I secretly wished for just an ounce of recognition, of the we. We were back then
Where I went, I knew that I really should not be.
Moon rings of yesterday are still dancing through my dreams.

Silently, I’ll put you away, and cry myself to sleep..
I’ll dream again, some other day of moon rings and the other places,that I should not be…

Heartfelt words that bring my own memories to life...*sigh* sometimes we need to take them out and feel the bittersweetness of them again...Magnificent writing here...goes right to the heart...**Big Hugs**

Yes, Jenny, moon rings do have a way
of wrapping themselves around our minds and hearts.
Even when they are invisible, we feel them.
May these rings embrace you
with gentleness and compassion.
