I remember clearly this
certain moment of
becoming.

When the world broke to
separate distinctions,

And the pride of being
more filled a false
sense of being.

I believed in my self so
strongly then...such power in the
sudden awakening of a
life above surroundings.

Now years have fallen.

The moment stands vivid in
the fright of what
seems lost.

Once I was part of something
larger than myself.

Once I was whole...and
broke apart.

I remember
now,

And longing to return...I
give myself away.

Becoming...no more.

Excellence in your craft... but the feeling cuts deep... perhaps here you can be part of something larger than yourself... "take all of your pain and happiness and use it as your stepping stone"  Learn from others and yourself and grow.

Eric

The honesty in this is so sensitive, so fragile.

There are those moments when we suddenly perceive the truth and the pain of feeling separated cuts deep.

The wholeness of you, dear Eric, drips in beauty through your wonderful poetry.

I love you.

You've captured well the intensity of such moments. Be well, poet friend.

Perhaps in losing yourself, you are once again a part of the whole.

~ Outstanding piece of insightful writing!!!

Take care and be well, Dear Poet!
