dust clouds on primrose paths
shadow sandy corridors, etched
like monograms on old forgotten
watch fob chains
of gentlemen long lost,
left in yesteryears’ fog

mem’ries settle like the lees of teas
in graceful ladies’ garden parties
sheltered ‘neath the bough
of the old oaken tree
covered in ivy that grows not
green, but grows in dreams
of those things remembered

and the pathway to lore learned
on sunny days in shady repose
meanders gently down the walkway
of precious primrose ponderings
coddling the reminiscence of the essence
of good things recalled
yearning to entice recollections
of bygone eras, couched
in the panorama of the present

You've been shopping!
Ah, Victorian lace, hand painted bone china, and the scent of "The Twenties" lingers paid forward.

  Great Write!

I slowly read your descriptive words and soaked up the imagery and the ambiance.

"yearning to entice recollections
of bygone eras, couched
in the panorama of the present"

~ You did a fine job of enticing some of my own recollections to the fore, as well!

~ A gracious & compelling piece of poetry!
