The children ran across the yard playing tag
when the oldest girl almost ran into it.
A  boar sized nest full of bees were sent swarming.
The children all followed the youngest boy who
ran into the cellar for cover from them.
They gazed out through the cellar window at them.
A galaxy of them swarmed around the nest,
around the current berry bush whose red fruit
the children had used before for fishing bait.
Intermittent scouts buzzed around the whole yard.
"We must take our yard back, our life back, our Tree,"
the elder son said as he grabbed a broom stick.

I guess the son will learn that a broomstick is totally ineffective ... but we use what we can even though it may not be perfect.
