Impetuous dawns full of possibilities
sing the song of spring
over “our” hills
like door knockings
in the chamber of silent hell
but I’m stretching to understand
just ‘cause I need to and
after all,
it is the Ides of March.

Melody lane is a long cold road
where freshly cut grass and a rose
bask in golden beauty
until the storm of the unsaid
but spring is in my step
and I am forever in love
under the blue of the sky.

Oh, Dear John, my distant star,
I am lonely without you
and I wish the pieces of me
were in your grip
so I could say, “Cheers” Mike
and like a lion
lay down in shades of heather and green
while the forest song
roots within.

But anguish unforgettable
in this child’s fight
to sip champagne rose
when it is night
because the gentility of shallow lives
like a shark attack
not a beautiful red surprise
for a woman
buttoned up
in a taciturn word tumble.

The leprechaun and the raven,
blue times two,
learnt the lesson of my sister’s shoes
at 23-06 hours on Sandy hill
and see, hear, speak, no evil
when asked what happened to Sophia Choi
but the Shamrock whisper
sometimes
like earth’s quiet scream
brings in the vibes of spring
as a new strategy (to) stay the course
because thirty below sucks.

My ruby slippers -
like my father you are gone
and every mother’s child
when hammers slam softly
on fish bones
but I could say I love you
if no incoherent ramblings trio
in old sock heaven.

Son song, muse asea, Ulvanovskava,
just a Dutchie’s playful acrostic
untitled for my brother, her contender,
on this Saint Patrick ’s Day
because he just wanted to be a soldier
and picnic …, picnic …
in the sun’s clothes.

I remember March 18 1980
and the please No Yes
equinox in my heels
and how a stifled sneeze in the corridors of time
circles
because there is stretching room only
when a singer is singing.

Still no rain or consumption of vitamin D
as Lariam stares into Sam’s mirror
but I’d love flying without you
to 4017 Massechusetts
at 15:6, 15:6 …?
on Friday
if not for the story of a bough
and velcro on my impromptu shoe (challenge).

Melodia Bella!  It’s hard to be a woman!

Thanks Sunshine! It works sometimes to bring sleep to a restless spirit.

Thank you, icebox.  Of course you can do it.  It's like life, you know.  It doesn't have to make sense.
