Impetuous Dawn

Snows have gone, but for the morning frost
Unbeknownst to time, the winter coating lost
Oblivious to overtures of patient caveat
The forward spin trades out for in
Set, ready matters not

Dawn dancer sighs the bare of morning globe
Elite conductor shifts the colors of her robe
Horizon full, lifts light in gala ball
While songs of ready set are met
Time ceases not at all

Impetuous, these wing beats saunter forth
A warming trend entices to the north
Again, again, takes turn in questions new
Cease not the thrill, come hither shrill
Of sudden rendezvous

what a lovely poem, so much to like about it, but I chose these as my favorite lines

"Dawn dancer sighs the bare of morning globe
Elite conductor shifts the colors of her robe"

needs to be bumped up for another go

The imagery you've left in kind
for one and all to blend in mind
is kismet met and fates concealed
in lovely of words, a moment, revealed.

I like it. I like how the "sudden rendezvous" of the last line breaks into the swinging rhythm and brings it all into sharp focus.

Especially during this 'struggling' transition of seasons....the imagery
of this write shines particularly fine.
I hope the addition of my humble comment
brings this poem back to the top of the
'P.I.P.' queue in celebration of Spring
and Poesy!

TD, if it weren't for Bruce bumping this back up, I might have missed out on the joyous experience of reading this beauty! Well done, POETESSA!!!

Hugs and wishes for a happy Spring!

What a wonderful read on another transitional weather day.
We've been embraced by snow, sun and rain in one week, and some confused robins are coming and going with bewildered beaks.
YES, it IS definitely is spring!
