Where no tyranny is tolerable

I suppose that one could fill a book,
of paper, artifacts or memories
recording the passage of others through our lives
and who are now gone.
And half the time you will never know why it was,
and just left to wonder what ever happened with them since,
left hanging there, without any since of closure,
and no opportunity to talk,
no chance, no time to even say good-bye.
And now you are gone.
You faded back into the mysteries of the ether,
back to the misty continent of dreams.
You are no longer the You
I thought perhaps selfishly I could still reach and talk to,
or at least e-mail, if only now and then.
Now it is the collective and universal You you have become.
Now I can only be with You as Me,
like my father, when he comes to me in dreams.
I hope You will come to me in dreams,
now and then, maybe twice a year or so ...
It's the only way to reach You now.
Like my father, You are gone.
But I trust that Nature knows what she is doing,
that she understands, and she will bring me solace,
that She may bring You back to when time is right,
in another woman's form, of course ...
I trust that Nature knows what she is doing,
that I will always hold you in my dreams,
though like my father, you are gone.
And now I must stop typing,
go lie down, and do my crying,
take the medication,
and float away to gentle, healing sleep.

Oh Jaime, such a heartache write!
Holding you in my thoughts, wishing you warm rays of spring sunshine.

Listening to every heart

And Sunshine comes, to thank you for
this ever peacefilled poem, of knowing,
acknowledgement, truth and light,

for you have me thinking, and saying to
my quiet self, "I should have written this."

But you did.

When a friend can say the words for you,
you know they are just that.
