          fortunately my May flower

was already voyaging on her Mayflower

                  the day i met her

it would've been a lot worse if i had to regret her falling in love with another guy

after we had a chance to see eye to eye

at least she had a good reason to deny me

                        her love

Your interpretation is a positive outlook  that mitigates the bitterness.

Well done!

Love,

Not having any "regret" does give one peace.

Interesting write here, provokes much thought.

always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same

nice letter to oneself kind of piece. I like it. I find myself wanting the first may flower to be something slightly phonetically different from the second, like spring flower, or day flower. not sure. thats the only part that held me up.
