Saint Patrick’s Day
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

It is that time of year again,
When I am not myself,
My dresden skin turns emerald green,
And I become an elf!

I have a taste for Irish beer,
And I shrink way down in size.
My ears and nose are pointy,
And I have green twinkly eyes.

My voice becomes quite lilting,
With a bonny little brogue,
I doff my little elfin hat,
And become a rascal rogue.

I trill, "Top o' the morning",
As I skip-de-doo my way,
Down the paths and garden walks,
'Cause it's Saint Patrick's Day!

“The Apostle of Ireland.”

His home was in the green-lands of Northern Ireland.
Original name Succat.  He was taken as a slave at the age of 16
but at the age of 22 he escaped, and later ordained as a priest.
A prelate of the first order some said a church dignitary.
He brought renown to the three leaf clover, stating that it
was reminiscent of the “Holy Trinity”
He drove the snakes out of Ireland, and known to turn
anything he touched to green to mach the landscape of his homeland.

EA, I would be happy to skip-dee-doo and drink a pint or two any time colleen!
Heeheee…

Howdy, lily jo! My St. Paddy's Day was joyful ...and tearful. 'Tis the anniversary of my sister's son disappearance on Lake Ontario along with 5 of his friends. Life goes on and Chad would be the first to "Cheers!" Life is to be celebrated!

Giving you a great big Irish hug!
