.

No one cares
What you think

Get that
Through your head

If you can’t manage a piece
That is a work of art
You might as well
For poetry
Be quaintly dead

So then for sure
Missing an ear or two
Those after
Will read and sigh

Why was it so
They lived after you
And could not help you
Better die

.

Caught me with the title.

He managed to portray himself with the most intensely convicted eyes I've ever seen in a frame.

Moved me. So I call it art.
Your words and his portrait.

Thanks,

rwood,

Thank you

This was reaction to a:
"Tell the World What the World Ought to Hear"
line on a sign in the library advertising
a "Poetry Slam" restricted to those ages
14 to 21.

Thanks again

John
