I read this old poetry challenge and I thought I would give it a go.

callings path taken, his expression shaken
shattering glass hands breaking over whims thought
the smoke doesnt rise, and the metal lays still
all on a whim his art forgotten, bought

smoky black robes whistled by calling
his name and his troubles, the working mans art
they offered him solace a way home in the dark
all he had to do was give up his heart

he made the agreement signed the dotted line
the last time he would use his hands though he knew it not
the last letter written his hands shaking and cold
beginning to harden a painful debut of gold

a blacksmith cursed with porcelain hands
his life forever ruined on a whim
finding solace he sold his art
the black clad figure having mistaken it for his heart

"No one now dies of fatal truths, there are to many antidotes to them."- Nietzche

his life forever ruined on a whim
finding solace he sold his art
the black clad figure having mistaken it for his heartthis stanza"
