where did the thief go
who saunters through
unlocked doors
ingredients
added to a pie?

Who cares
they're everywhere
you cry thief
or cry wolf
and they sprout
from nothingness
you heard the pitch
he offered his services
as the pie is served
hot.

cake mixes
get stirred
only to enter
in the night
take belongings
down great escapes
in a luxury limo
who cares
he's old enough

crying for another house
boy cries wolf
it's a man
bigger than a mouse
likes cheese fillings
another robbery
unlocked doors
lead to money piles
all lead weight
dead bate
once the pie cooked
rose, then fell
The pie cut, served
digested.
forgotten until the next
the man gets caught
released, bought
policed,
serves his time
behind dough bars
raspberry fillings
his lesson
never learnt..
the recipe
needs more time
who cares
he went
that way...
